Rim width question
I have a 2010 2 door JK Sport with the stock 16" rims. I am thinking about mounting some 285/75R16 tires and am wondering if anyone knows the actual width of these stock rims. Thinking I might be better off getting new rims (16x8s for instance).
Thanks

I have an 08 Sahara that came with 255/70R18. I put 285/75R16 Toyo Open Country's on with the stock X wheels like you have, I bought them from a forum member on here. I think the stock wheels are 7" wide. If you use your stock wheels you will need spacers. (spidertrac 1.5") or the tires will rub at full lock of the steering wheel. The tires will fit fine on the wheels. Spacers will cost you around 200.00 for 4 wheels, so you need to decide what wheels you want and go from there. If you buy new wheels you will need a wheel with a backspacing of around 4.5 " The backspacing with the spacers on the X wheels is 4.75"
