I googled it and found this site:
http://jeep.avtograd.ru/VIN/vin_en.asp
It appears that the 6th Character corresponds to the Series, mine came up Sahara and if I changed only that digit to 6, it came up Rubicon, but I suspect that there is more to it then that, the 6 might be a unlimited Rubicon, whereas a regular Rubicon has a different number.

For 2011 and older models the sixth vin position will indicate the sub-model. On 2012 and newer models it is the 7th digit that will indicate the sub-model. The sub-models are as follows -
VIN Digit 7
C rubicon
B Saraha
G sport
F unlimited Rubicon
E unlimited Saraha
D unlimited Sport

I checked your links, but they do not work, so I found a site, which seems to be a good VIN decoder, check it out. To find out from a VIN if the Jeep is a Rubicon, just look at the "Trim" field
