Default rumble at 60mph.. shaft or tires??

i have a vibration/ rumble noise i guess you can call it. its at pretty much 55 to 65. worst at 60. its sort of a rotational vibration/rumble. it sounds like a vibe from tire but its not steady. it has a break.like its not vibrating 360 degrees. i feel it in the wheel, and the seat but not shifter. would rubi tires do that?? my tire wear is fine.. no issues but i know they need a rotate. any ideas? tried to describe stupid vibe as best words can i think. oh i did search and could not find an answer.

need more info. Do you feel the vibration in your hands or the seat of your pants? Put it in neutral and see if the rumble/ vibration changes.Post back these answers if you get a chance....

I had a vibration at 55-60 MPH. I could feel it in the steering wheel and in the seat-of-my-pants, so figured it was from something on the front axle. The longer it went the louder my tires got. Finally, I suspected there was a problem with my right, front tire (that's where the loudest noise seemed to come from). Rotated it with the spare and the noise and vibration are gone. As I was pulling the tire, I noted there was scalping of the tire tread. Looking more closely, and I can see where there were balance weights that are no longer there (inside the wheel). I figure I lost those weights a few thousand miles ago and the tire has been gradually wearing oddly. Glad that's fixed. OBTW: I sometimes had a very slightly pull to the right. That is now gone, too.

i feel it in the wheel and in seat of pants. if i am doin 60 where it is most noticable and but in neutral its still there.. i also noticed this after last time wheelin. i got stuck and i think my tryin to get unstuck i put some abnormal wear on tire. i also noticed front axle u joint on driver side was black where u joint is. not sure if its related and due to temps i have not dug into this prob yet. except on here.. ita almost like drivin on a rumble strip (wake up lane) but its noe nearly as pronounced as that. same general feeling though.. feels middle to front.

You may be having the same thing Mark had, missing weights. Get your tires rebalanced and see if that doesn't cure it....
