I only put mine in during the winter when I know the hard top/freedom panels won't be coming off often. I've never had any leakage or wind noise from having the panels on without the screws, though.

I usually never put mine back in unless I know rain is coming. Does it prevent against leaks who knows.. Either way im leak free.

However the other day I noticed that when I got in my jeep and shut the door with the windows up and the freedom panels actually popped up. Guessing it was from the pressure

I do the same, with the same results.

For the first time I had the screws out after the early summer temps we had in April and the freedom tops off for a few days. Today after the overnight soaking we had on Long Island I am taking my three year old to school he let me know it's raining in the jeep! Needless to say the screws went back in.

Good point, I wonder if anyone else has had this problem being that this spiderweb shade is so popular.

Okay, here is what you do to line them up. With the top off and the spiderwebshade on. Stand in the rear of the jeep above where the screws come through and move the shade around till they are lined up. Do this again before you put the top back on

Mine come out in spring and go back in the beginning of winter. Never a problem

Same here. It's a lot quicker removing the freedom panels without those screws.
