Seat question
So I have an 08 rubicon 2 door and it has grey cloth seats they are terrible. I would like to get some factory leather ones. I know they changed the seats at some point I think it was 13. So the question is what mods have to be done to get he newer seats to fit into the older jeep

Have you considered Katzkins leather for your current seats? I will say that the '13+ seats do seem like a big improvement, but no clue how compatable they are with the pre '13 tubs. I'd think there is a good chance the bases are the same and it could be a direct fit, but that's just a guess.
I can tell you that the Katzkins product is nice, and I have no regrets about my leather seats. You could probably get by just doing the 2 front seats with your 2dr which would sure cut costs.

I am looking into that right now I have to call and get a custom quote for just the two as I do not have the back seat at all. I called leather seats .com and it was about 900$ for just the two

This guy hasn't posted in a couple years, so odds are he might not still be round, but I bought a full set of charcoal full leather katzkins for my 4dr late in '14 for ~$415 if I recall. They were brand new, never installed, but had a production date of early 2013, so essentially old stock. He was selling lots of leather at the same time so presume he had an "in" on some supply. Anyhow, it's probably a shot in the dark, but might at least be worth an inquiry. He had been on the forums as well, but again, haven't seen him around in few years.

They'll fit. I've got a friend who swapped seats from his 07 to a 13 without issue. You'll have to handle the seatbelt light but that's it. If you go with basic seats on both sides then it's easy. If your donor has all the features and you've got none then you'll be splicing a harness.

Mine only has manual seats with cloth. I don't care about the light being on just add that to the other lights that come on for stuff I've removed. Or changed. The brackets will bolt right in or do I need to hodgepodge the new seat with the old track ? Did that with some other older Jeep's before

The seats bolted right up. If you've got the low level seats then you should be able to make it work (airbag light) super easily.....I think our seats are 2 wires.

That is what I said I said thanks but no. I got a line on some 2013 leather rubicon seats that were in a roll over and are damaged I am gunna try to go look at them and see how badly damaged the frame is and if it's reparable
