Seat Swap: 2017 Rubicon in 2008 X JK

Hey Hey - I feel like there should be threads on this but I cant seem to find any.

Looking to throw some 2017 rubicon seats in my 2008 X. I've seen some people say need different brackets and others say its straight bolt on.

anyone know definitively?

They bolt in, you'll just have to make the plugs meet up. I have a friend that swapped seats between a 13 and 08.

It’s easily possible. Just use your old seat wiring or seat frame. 13mm nuts hold the seat to the bracket.

Hey i see that it has been a while since this post. curious how it worked out for you? I'm currently looking into getting some 2016 seats for my 08 JKU. I'm sure the rears bolt in fine, but I'm skeptical of the driver and passenger seats. did those bolt in for you? did you have to use your 08 brakes on the new 2017?

thanks!
