Shift points on a 2012 auto issue???

Just tried this too...

From a dead stop put it in 2nd, it started in first and shifted to 2nd.

I don't see anything in the owners manual re: how it's *supposed* to work

Anyone have a link or pointer???

ETA: Perhaps this is the difference between Adaptive electronic control or Electronic Range Select auto tranny's - my window sticker made no reference between the two?

Adaptive electronic control changes as you drive, mainly shift points and firmness... if you drive like grandma, it will take on grandma's personality. If you drive like Don Garlits you'll teach your Jeep to behave like a Top Fueler.

It will also reset itself... not sure of all the circumstances, one is pulling the battery cable.
