Short lift options RK vs rancho
Hi guys, I have a 2014 JKU with 3.21 gears and I'm passing up on 36000 miles and wanted to look at putting a lift on now that I have saved some cash up.
My jeep is a daily driver about 30 min of mixed highway and city driving and I also have a 18 mo daughter and wife who needs to drive me jeep at times.
All that said I have been looking at the RK 1.5" stock mod and adding shocks or the new progressive spring rancho in 2" with 9000xl shocks
My question is if you have one how do like it and should I add anything to the rancho to round it out.
Thanks

The RK is full of disappointment but, working in your favor is that they don't maintain their height. I've got roughly the 2.5" stock mod on mine and it rides fine with the Rancho shocks but it's hardly 2.5". I'm counting my pennies to move to something like the Metalcloak or AEV.
Given the options, I'd go with the Rancho in your shoes. They just announced a summer rebate so that should help with the funding aspect.

I have had an aev 2" spacer lift, Teraflex 1.5 performance coil lift and a RK 1.5 stock mod. I doubt if you were blindfolded you can tell the difference. All were good and all lifted about the same.
