Default Soft Top Chatter

Ok I did a search and didn't find a thing about this. So here's my question.

Does anyone have a good idea to stop the chatter of the soft top clamps when the top is half back?

God that noise is getting to me!

I took some foam rubber pipe insulation and cut like two 3" pieces and just slid them over the clamps.. works great.. i bought the soft rubber insulation so that it would lay flatter on the clamps, oh and it the solid kind that you would cut a slit on it to wrap around a pipe..
Good Luck

Are you talking about the clamps that clamp the header bar to the windshield? I close mine back up after unhooking them and haven't ever heard them. Maybe try that?

Thanks for the pipe insulation idea. I was also going to try a large rubber band because I think the noise comes from the two pieces clapping together.

I do close them. When the top is half back they bounce and chatter as I drive.
