Looking for persons with exp. in folding top this was my first try how does this look?

not quite, it should fold up accorian style and lay on top of the rear.
have a look at this

yep. It took me a few tries, just remeber to fold like an accordian.

you got it, gets much easier with practice...my 4 door was a pain, even with 2 people, now my wife can put it down by herself.

Thanks took a little fidgeting good thing i am 6'3'' i can reach to the middle when lowering it that helps.

Should i use the velcro sunrider straps to secure the top when down?

some guys will tell you that they never strap it down, but I would rather be safe than sorry. 10 seconds vs. several hundred dollars...
also grab some stuff called strap all (REI . com). stronger than factory straps, and you can make the straps longer so that it gets a better grip on itself (you will find other uses too)
