Default soft top when down

I just put on my soft top and am really not liking how it's sitting on the rear of the unlimited. some people please post up pics of how yours looks when in the down position and what you do to secure it from flapping and tearing things up.

thanks

ld- it's very important to zig-zag the top when you fold it down onto itself. In and out in and out along the fold points, if you fold it in and in or out and out it won't lay flat..... stand on the back seat and pull the top over yourself to put it up....

Some people on here seem to be able to fold theirs like pros (do a search there's a thread with various pictures), but mine never looked as good as some people got theirs.

In my opinion if you want to clean up the look of the top when it's down, purchase the Smittybilt Soft Top Boot. It's only 40 bucks and it not only looks clean when it's on, but keeps the top from blocking the tailgate so you can still slide stuff in under it.

You can also buy an aftermarket soft top cover.

I don't like how the soft top gets in the way either; so I just pull it off and set

it in the garage when I take it down.

I'll look and see if I have any pics of the top folded down and secured.

I don't have a soft top on mine, but I was surprised with as much cloth how low it actually sits. It is getting cold here and a buddy of mine just put the hard top on so I can't help with the pic.

First I like to roll up the endflaps into the elastic straps that snap on to hold your rolled rear window.

I found that standing on the front seats works for me to complete the first two folds. I just push back the midpoint of the fabric between the bows.

Then swing it down and make one more fold.

Lay it flat, close the gate, and velcro it down.

There is a thread on here that has the same video in the link that shows the correct way to fold your top.
