Default Spring rate question

I have a 09 JKU Sahara. Is it normal to have different rates on each corner?

Spring rates are:
Fronts 16/17
Rears 58/59

Thanks
Brian

Yep. The higher numbers should on the side with your gas tank (right side)

Ok thanks. I was thought it was odd to see 4 different spring rates in each corner. I mostly see them in pairs

I have seen them in all sorts of configurations. Not sure what the determining factor is or if the assembly line workers just grab whatever is convenient.

Seriously though I know the options package plays a role in the spring sets.

I have the towing package and bilstein shocks from the factory. I have seen one other Sahara that has the bilstein shocks as an option. Maybe that has a role in the odd spring rate

Not to rain on your parade, but Bilstein shocks were not an option from the factory. (To my knowledge). There has only been 2 shocks to be on the JKs and they've been the basic Black ones on Sport and Sahara ,and the nicer Red ones on Rubicons and Special Editions.

As to your spring rates, my '08 JKU Sahara had 14/15 fronts and 55/55 rears for the spring rates. Mine did not have tow package or hardtop options though. It's very common to have different spring rates on the corners, i thought mine was weird at first for 3 differents, but after more research, it's quite common.
