Jeep starts up normal but when selecting reverse the rmps slug/drop down, almost stalling the motor, If you don’t give it gas it will shut off. This only happens when it has sat over night but doesn’t do it throughout the day (driving around/to and from).There is no check engine light on the dash.

The battery is brand new.

I read throughout google, other forums, and YouTube… That it could potentially be a torque converter issue.

Anyone had this problem and fixed it?

 

Check the crankshaft, whichever is passenger side behind engine. It was $15 when I changed it on my 2012. Easier and cheaper than going to the dealership for a , can not replicate.
