Sounds like a computer problem?
And pretty close to a lemon law case now?

Sometimes it cranks for a few extra seconds before it starts.. usually it just fires up but on occasion (usually when its hot), it turns over for 2 to 3 seconds before starting

there was a technical service bulletin, TSB, to update the computer, as some JK owners were experiencing the stall bug. he was suggesting that you check to see if your JK falls under the TSB to correct the problem. a computer update/ flash may be all that it needs to get things back to normal. have they mentioned anything about the TSB when you've taken it in? what work have they done to correct it?

Exactly the problem I have. About every 5th or 6th start, it takes 2 to 3 seconds to turn over. Not a major problem, but will take it in if other problems arise.

Mine will also just turn over and not start every once in a while. When it happens it will always start on the second attempt. I havnt looked into it at all yet but I will before the warranty is up.
