Default Steering box leaking... Again

2012 4 door. 4 inch lift with 315 duratracs I have a draglink flip kit. I'm mechanically incline but do not know all steering components.

My steering box (third time now) is leaking from the hard line on top of the box. Replaced twice before... Dealer told me a seal went bad the last time.

Do I dare and take it back again and try to get it fixed under warranty 29k. I'm a poor college student but I do want it fixed so it will last.

I do already take care of the steering. Never turning the wheel without the jeep moving. Very little off-roading and not hard turning in rocks or anything.

Any help is appreciated. Read a lot of steering box articles and am just unsure if my problem is the same as others.

Can't possibly hurt to take it in again. At 29k, you are running out of time. Worst case scenario, they say no, you possibly find out what part you need to replace, and you are aware of a problem early. All waiting can do is make you have to cover it yourself completely, and possibly at a much greater cost if anything progresses.

I'd just take it in, and see what they say.

Mine is an 08 with 80k on it. I'm pretty sure mine has been bad for the last 20-30k miles. I have power steering fluid all over the driver's side of my engine bay. The power steering still works so I just haven't fixed it. It's probably not the best idea. But when I search for JK power steering gear box, all I see is how bad these things are. Some people replace them every 20-30k miles.

I doubt this is you doing anything wrong. Just a poorly designed piece by Jeep

My box was just changed out about 5 months ago. That one seriously blew fluid all over and drained out very quickly. This is a slow leak so I'm not as stressed out but i guess I will take it in and see if they'll fix it for me...

So I've got an appointment at the dealer... On oct 8 so in the meantime I narrowed down the leak

The second hard line is where it's leaking. Anyone. Ever deal with these. Is there an o ring in there that can be changed out. The fitting isn't loose and I'm fairly certain I have altered steering because of whatever happened in the steering box. Just putting more information out there for others and hoping for some incite.
