Steering Gear and Clock Spring
My JK is in the shop after a collision it is all finished except for a steering gear and a clock spring. They are back ordered from the factory anybody know of a dealer or shop that may have them in stock?

none of the dealers in the jax, fl area. my clock spring failed, not sure how or what the deal was, but it is throwing a DTC because of it.

On a tangent of the clock spring subject..
Wouldn't you think that since this has something to do with the airbag, meaning a safety feature on the jeep, that it would be covered? I mean, I had mine fail as well and I had to pay $500.00 to have it replaced. I've never heard of clock springs failing on other vehicles. Why are they failing when we aren't even doing anything to make them fail??????

I can't bad mouth mine, it saved my ass by deploying the airbag just before it committed suicide.
Looks like it going to be awhile before I get my JK back.
