yeah cause its real easy to turn the wheel with no powersteering and aftermarket wheels

May I ask why you are all worried about locking the wheel? It will not stop someone from stealing it. Most steering wheel locks are easy to break. If you leave it unlocked and someone tried to steal it and doesn't disable the lock they will not get far. As soon as they turn the wheel a whole turn it should lock. Try driving somewhere and not turn the wheel more that half a turn.

In my 07 manual, it says this works for the manual transmission only. Just an FYI.
