Default Steering stabilizer question?

I replaced my track bar bolts and while I was done there I took my stock stabilizer off and was wondering how easy they should be to cycle in and out with your bare hands?
Mine is so soft guarantee my 4 year old son could easisly push it in and out

Just did mine after a bad case of Death Wobble before going to the dealership. I used a Rancho. When I took it to the dealership (the Rancho didn't stop DW) they said it was a good one and I was all set. WRONG!!! They put an OEM one in the second time back, because they said the Rancho was defective???. It should be quite hard to compress and withdraw. I also read that DW will cause the steering stabilizer/damper to form micro bubbles and cause it to fail. Not sure if true though. Are you having suspension issues. If so watch Planman's videos on you tube. Good front end diagnostic video. Good luck

I was having DW problems until I just changed out trackbar bushings and replaced the bolts with 9/16 ones...drives smooth as silk even without a stabilizer at the moment

I don't even run one. Took it off because it was all dented up. Threw it in the trash. Jeep drives just the same without it. I figure 37s are big dampeners anyway.

I dented my tie rod in so much the plastic cover over the stock ss rod was jammed into the trackbar mount.

I removed the ss on the trail. On my way home on the highway, I got a case of dw while decelerating from 50 to 40 mph.

I pulled over, reinstalled the ss while cutting off the plastic so it doesn't hit the trackbar mount. Drove home without any problems

Was my DW from the bent tie rod or from running without a ss?

Just ordered the synergy tie rod. Undecided on which ss - fox, bilstein or ome

Fox is good looking, but priced accordingly. Bilstein will give you a 'push' in the steering, so don't buy it. OME is another good product but why shy away from the mopar branded one?

As mentioned above- the stabilizer is not really needed. It is meant to help out when you hit a little bump, just to slow the steering wheel down in your hands. If you want to be in complete control of the steering then go full hydro, the cylinder will kill any potential vibes.
