Default Steering wheel lock with key removed...

Are any of the JK's produced without the lock on the steering column that engages when you remove the key and twist the wheel?

I thought it was law that all had the lock.. ???

My 2011 doesn't lock with the key off and removed. I ask the dealer about this and they told that JK's steering wheels don't lock.

Well...I can corroborate the 2011 not locking as mine doesn't either.. surprisingly, but to say no Jeeps lock isn't correct.. My 2008 locked.

So, wondering what package was required to get a steering wheel lock? I can't find anything in the 2011 model brochures.

Default Mine locks

You have to turn the sw about 1/4 turn but it will lock with the key out.

On my 11 sport you can turn the wheel all the way left and right and it doesn't lock i don't know about other models or years.

+1 for no locking steering wheel. It was the first thing I checked before I bought it as I tow it behind my RV.

Not mine... I rolled down the driveway and steered the entire way.. This is a concern for me.. essentially, if you were inclined, you could push my JK away, steering as you go..never to be seen again.. WTF?

This is interesting. I am going to check mine now. I swore it locked on my 2010 auto and I have not tried on my new 11 six speed.
