Default Stupid part question....

Ok, I feel dumb for asking this, but what do you call the nuts they use for mounting the stock license plate? I moved my plate to the spare tire and plan to get the plug for the oem location but I just noticed one of the nuts in the sheet metal is missing.

Are you talking about captured nuts? These are what they look like but obviously not the right size.

Yeah, they should be.....though it may be tough to find the right size. If you can't find the right size then type 'captured nut' in on google and there is a distributor (grainger I believe) who sells all shapes and sizes of them.

Sometimes painful, sometimes not. It's also called "Marriage."
