Have you tried giving it Midol, for "those moods"?

I'll recheck the PSI but last I did it's ok.

I moved from the beach in NC to Los Angeles, and it's not the whole sitting in traffic b/c I've been lucky and haven't hit that traffic hell

I did do a manual count on the drive out b/c I couldn't believe I was getting 23, but I was. I am def only getting 14 now.

The dealer suggested a $280 service to clean a flap or something incase the gas isn't getting thru easily, wish I could remember exactly what. I'm just tired of them making guesses and issues not getting fixed, like the ever present death wobble.

Here is my very limited knowledge on this Jeep engine setup... the air intake system is a speed density system. The system takes a density reading and then using throttle position to determine a specific amount of fuel to be used. The computer takes this reading multiple times a sec. The fuel tables in the computer are setup for an average density. The density of the air depends greatly on temperature and humidity. I have verified this on my Jeep. The Jeep prefers 65F-80F with less than 50% humidity. If it is over that temperature, it makes a little difference, but if it is below that temp, then I have seen a drop of more than 2mpg. I live in AL and I have driven my Jeep everywhere but the upper northwest for work.

Hope this helps.

This is a link to a write up on how to clean the throttle body yourself:

I am guessing this is what your dealer meant when you mentioned cleaning a flap for $280.

Another possibliity. I have a buddy who was getting terrible mileage. We noticed his air cleaner was super dirty. We blew it out with my CO2 to clean it. He immediately picked up 4-5 MPG.

Since you were moving - are you carrying a lot more weight?
