pulled the throttle body and found this , 40 thousand mil. on the od

That looks like residual gasket material. Mine had the same thing. Just cleaned mine today....makes such a difference, my pedal was so sluggish and felt unresponsive, now it is back to normal!!

Looks like some sort of potting or liquid gasket. Use it on aircraft all the time.

It is the oring /gasket melted from oil / heat then sucked in
