does the freedom top come tinted standard with the rubicon model (08 rubicon unlimited) ? The reason I am asking is beecause the maroney sticker on my new unlimited says "tinted rear quarter and liftgate", but the top/ rear windows are definetly not tinted. Thanks

 

every rubicon i've ever seen on a lot has had tinted back windows, and if you own it already i'd bring it back to the dealer and show them the sticker and demand my tinted windows!!! haha in the nicest way possible

 

My 07X had tinted windows, it was on the lot with a softy ,I had the hardtop added, think they stole it off a Sahara as mine was the only 4WD 4dr on the lot.

 

If the sticker says you got it when you didn't, that's a load of crap. Go back and swap tops.

shrkdoc-the windows on your Rubi come standard as tinted. Front to rear lite tint. The Deep Tint Sunscreen windows are available with a ""customer preffered package'' and do not come with a base level top. Your windows on your soft top aren't deep tint either, I believe. Mopar description in all the literature is Deep Tint Sunscreen Windows- soft or hardtop......

 

What he said... I think you have to pay $300 for the deep tint option. That is the only option my Rubi doesn't have that I wanted. I will keep the top in the garage for most of the year, so I guess I can live with it.

I bet the swapped tops for someone who wanted tinted and thought they could get away with it. I would take it back and see. Worst case you get noting.

 

please note 95% of auto glass is tinted... not really noticeable unless you put a piece of non tinted next to it... if i can get over to storage later i will take a picture of 2 identical pieces of auto window glass one tinted one not...

 

The 09 Rubicons are now standard with the deep tint that was previously an option.
