Default Tow Strap Location

I just bought a new JK this weekend and am getting ready to take it wheeling. Due to the fact that I am in college and poor, I got a base X model that had no tow hooks. Where is the best place to hook a tow strap without using tow hooks? Eventually I'd like to replace the bumpers and this won't be an issue, but first I need some $$$!

if you remove the lower airdam and the plastic frame cover below the grill, you can wrap it around the frame rail up front.

still kind risky with the plastic bumper, though.

Thanks! Taking off the air dam is one of the things I'm planning on doing before hitting the trail.

go buy some tow hooks, there cheap, and mount them up. Most guys dont like to wheel with someone without tow points.

I bought the c-pkg X JK without the tow hooks. I ordered them from jparts.com for $55 and installed them myself. The 2 installation hassles are the plastic screws and cutting the holes in the bumper. The install took longer than expected, due to the hole trimming, but the hooks are required equipment at the wheeling sites I know of.
