Default TPMS questions and concerns.

So I am planning on going on my first day of 4wheeling next month and I have some questions about the tpms. If I lower my tire pressure for the trail, am I going to have to listen to an alarm the whole time? When I air back up, will the alarm shut off after a few highway miles? Also, my tires have the Nitrogen kit. Do I need to be concerned about this as well? Can I disable the tpms temporarily? What else should I be concerned about when airing up and down? Also, with the stock BFG's, what pressure should I air down to?

There is only an audible chime once per run cycle and the light stays locked in. once you refill your tires the system can take a little while to clear the alarm but usually not, the specs are in the manual. I assume by nitrogen kit you mean your tires are filled with nitrogen? No problem I can think other than you'll have to pay someone to fill up with nitrogen again if you want to. I wouldn't run the stockers much lower than 15 psi personally unless you're prepared to reseat a bead on the trail. That's a pretty opinionated topic so you'll get different responses, it all depends on wheel and tire sizes and sidewall stiffness and how much luck people have had not losing a bead. Speaking of the owner's manual they even provide a minimum suggested air pressure for sand driving.
