Default Trans slipping or.....

So ive been having some issues when accelerating hard. Until yesterday when I'm going up hill and get on the gas there a jerk and lack of power to go. Yesterday I was on flat ground and going slow. When I hit the gas fairly hard I felt this really hard long jerking and wasn't going anywhere then it stoped and took off. I'm thinking that my trans is on its way out? Any thoughts would be great, I need to get this fixed.

Are you lifted and running bigger tires and if so, have you recalibrated for the tire size? If your shift points are off, it will cause erratic shifting. JK's do have a slight delay when you hit the gas sometimes anyways.

I do a superchips to recalabrate for my tires and shift point. I'm wondering if it the torque convertor not being able to keep up with my foot?

I have a 2010 auto and mines the same way. 37s and 39s at times with 5.38 gears jerp only has 36000 miles and I've had it for the last 7000. It's always shifted hard. Especially shifting back up a gear after pulling a hill

Mine is a 2010 also. Must be something with that year. I still need to check my fluid level but I can't imagine it would be low.

Mine has always done that if I mash on it, the jk transmission seems to like rolling into it better. I personally think it is more an issue with the programming and drive by wire. I did get a flash somewhere along the way that improved it a lot. Still doesn't like it when I mash the gas, I get best results when I roll it on quickly.

I believe the builders didn't flush out the transmission after assembly. I've been doing a transmission flush every 30,000 miles.

When the fluid is low on mine, it acted like you've explained. Is it possible your dip stick is off?
