Default Transmission noise!!!!!!

So for the last week there has been a ticking noise coming from my transmission while accelerating. Once it warms up the ticking goes away, but it seems to get a little worse everyday. It's an '08 2 door with 60k miles, 6 speed manual, 2.5 inch lift and 35". Any thoughts on this would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance!!!

Whatever it is, it is not a good sign. A buddy of mine had this same issue with his 07 rubicon. It got worse and worse then finally.. KABOOM!! Not to scare you.. But good luck with it.

Well this doesn't sound like good news for me. I'll be taking her to the dealer tomorrow. I'm sure they'll tell me my "lifetime" warranty is now void due to the mods...i guess we'll see what happens.

I've got an 08 2dr 6 speed with a 2.5" lift and 35's with almost 50k and mine is doing the same thing...weird. I'm interested in what they have to say.

Mine is doing the same thing. My tranny was replaced 5000 miles ago due to other issues, and I've only run my lift for 1000 miles and my 35 for 4000.

It's worse under load at about 2100 rpm.

I wouldn't worry about it to much. The dealer will cover it.... I had to argue with my dealership a bit but they covered it. Keep us updated on what they say the problem is. My dealership didn't even bother trying to diagnose they just put a whole new assembly in which was fine by me.

What noise was it making? How did you know it wasn't the engine?
