Default Transmission Rattle on 2011

OVer the last few days the jeep has started to develop a rattle in the manual transmission. It sounds like a loose bolt metal on metal sound on the exhaust under acceleration only, but if I grab the shifter in let's say second gear and pull towards me, the rattle stops. It isn't the shift knob, definitely under the shift boot. I would think exhaust related if pulling the shifter didn't make it stop. Any thoughts?

I have the same thing, but mine is at low rpm, under 1500... Is that where you hear yours?

No idea, check to see if all the bolts are tight on the tranny and transfer case. Could always take it in to a tranny shop see what they say before the stealership gets it.

I've got a bit of chatter in 3rd & 4th gear below 2200 RPM if I'm a bit more than light on the throttle.
6spd manual on a 12'

I have an auto that does the same, typically coming up steep hills in the neighborhood. I can't pin-point the rattle but sounds like a paint can clanking around.

My transmission just died. It's an automatic 08 Sahara and it won't go into 3rd or fourth gear. I'm lucky I didn't blow my engine when it died. No warning, I was cruising about fifty mph when my rpm's suddenly went to the red. No word on what happened exactly but waiting patiently. Is there a replacement option? Or do I have to rebuild this one?
