Default Transmission Warning Light

My transmission warning light came on, so I took the jeep to the dealer. They said the clamp that was holding the exhaust to the catalytic converter was not holding tight. So, they welded it together. The light just came back on again (a week after having it serviced).
Has anyone else had this issue of the exhaust/cat coupling not holding?

No. But like some dealer fixed issues - some return. Take it back in and enjoy your Jeep. Shalom.

Well, the second time I took the heep in to deal with the transmission warning light, they had to replace the oxygen sensor (?). And guess what, less than a week later and the warning light is on again. This is three times in a month. WTF??? This is getting tiring.

I didn't even think JK's had a tranny light, pretty sure my 09 don't.

The light is orange, and it's hard to miss when it's on. It dings every time I start the car. It's shaped like an outline of the transmission.

Are you talking about the light under the P (Park)? Assuming you have an automatic. If so, it looks like a motor and comes on when the OBDII detects a problem with the engine or the automatic transmission.
If you indeed have a transmission light, it's a mighty poor dealer that would look into exhaust and O2 systems when a tranny light comes on.

Ha, glad I was not the only one thinking that.

Are you sure it is not the "check engine light" you are talking about?

Nope, I'm not sure. I have an auto trans and it is the light that comes on under the "P." That outline doesn't really look like an engine to me, but if it's the check engine light, okay. It still pisses me off that it keeps coming on.
