Forgive my ignorance, but your technical level details are lost on me. WTF are you talking about?

im waiting also,
5k miles on my rubi since nov and it has not gotten any better. They say "no trouble found" all 3 times i bring it in, I even had the guy hear it. I really would like to see a TSB for this because I do not want them to tear apart my jeep trying to find the issue.

Nope, no TSB, despite the rumors. Dealers must be told to tell customers that no problem is found since that's the line we're all getting now.

Is the chirping/squeeking sound heard when decelerating or doing down a hill?

from my knowledge the chirp is heard everytime you shift or while coasting if you hit the gas... whenever the vehicle torques forward...

Yep, thats the one. Happens when accelerating through 1800 RPM's in every gear. Several on this forum have had the flywheel, clutch, T/O bearing, and clutch plates REPLACED and this has seemed to work. Clutch plates were scored.

The director of service at my dealer heard the noise with me in my JK, as well as two others on the lot, but they refuse to take the clutch apart to look for scoring. DC Customer service was useless. They know of the issue but wouldn't tell the dealer what to do, so they did nothing. I take it back again next month, and I think I'll go to the owner if I am not getting satisfaction. Every time I hear it, I imagine my clutch wearing away.
It's really the only fault I have with the JK.

There was a post on another forum where Jeep Engineers answered Q & As. This was brought up and all the Jeep engineer said was stay tuned.

Copy of the actual post.

Forum member:
"HI. Love the JK... 5th Jeep in family!

Having the 'gym shoe squeak' after while letting out clutch, or even by hitting the accelerator some. Many have had it I see on this forum. Mine may be getting worse at 3K.

Any progress on that one? My plan is to ignore until I see a TSB or other good advice.

Thanks!"

Jeep Engineer:
"All I can say is, stay tuned."

I'm thinking they know something is up and are working on it.
