Always used meguiars 3 step since 94 when I purchased the 94XJ. That truck still looks great. Moved to Meguiars NXT for the new Black JK.
Got the JK in Dec. The first nice day in Mar washed and waxed. Since then I've just washed, dried and sprayed on Meguiars Quick Detail, and wiped off with microfibre cloths. The black JK looks grerat, and resists the (acid) rain we have in these parts.

I have used the Tutle Wax Ice Spray detailer on my black JK and love it. One time I applied it in direct sunlight as they claim you can but I got some swirls. Once I took it out of the sunlight and redid it, the hood of my JK was a mirror!!!

Best stuff I have ever used IMHO.

Zymol is also a great wax and usually runs about $10. It did wonders on my black YJ.

The only thing that is really that expensive is the flash cure accelerator (ZFX). But then again sometimes the results are worth the money. If you haven't ever tried it, give it a shot, you might be very surprised.

I used to be a diehard ZAINO guy...but have recently switched over to the complete product line of Adams Polishes...

So far i have been VERY pleased with their stuff. Heck even my wife enjoys detailing her Jeep now.

Ice is crap! It does spread on like butter and it won't even remove a water spot. It goes right over the top of whatever is there. mcguires is good stuff for the price. BTW mine is black too...

Look for a product called Rejex. It is made by corrosion Technologies. I use it on My Jk and My Corvette. Works great. 1 step process and lasts at least 6 months. Easy to put on and easy to wipe off.

Rejex, and Zaino are the 2 best. I prefer Rejex since you do not need to mix parts.
