uconnect ipod issue

I had uconnect Bluetooth and ipod connectivity added to the factory non-navigation radio a few months ago. Now my ipod randomly kicks out and switches to fm radio. I can press aux and its right back where I left off on my ipod. All the controls on the radio for my ipod work fine but it kicks out roughly every 10-15 mins. Any ideas?

didnt know they had this, have you spoken with the dealership or whoever installed it....that is if it is not you who installed it.

Dealer installed it after I bought the jeep used. What's weird is that it worked just fine for a few months. I plan on having them take a look when it goes is for the gas tank replacement once the tank comes in but it would be nice if it were an easy fix I could do myself.

in my case when this happened.. I found that the protective case I had over the ipod was putting pressure on the connection cable just enough that it would periodically disconnect causing the stereo to go back to radio... the cable didnt pull out all the way.. and in fact most times i could just press the AUX button again and the ipod would start playing again.. it just moved around enough to cause data errors...

the cable Jeep provides doesnt seem to habe the best quality pins in it to make the connection...

I cut a little of the case out on the ipod so the cable could stay in firm.. and then I also make sure the cable doesnt have any pressure one way or the other when the ipod is in the glove box.. and im good to go now.. havent had a disconnect in a long time

that would make sense because mine is in a case. I'll be sure to give that a try. Thanks.

Alright so I can't seem to get this issue fixed. It switches from ipod to fm radio by itself every 30 seconds but pressing aux makes it work every time. I have already had the ipod, the ipod cord, and the factory radio replaced with new ones. The only thing that remains is the uconnect module. Could that be it?
