Default Water Pump Question

Now that the weather is really cold, I've started to hear some squeaking noises from the engine. I also had to fill the coolant a while back, so I'm starting to think the water pump and the gasket are going bad on my 08 JK.

For those of you who have replaced the water pump, did you go with a Mopar/OEM or something else? The dealer is charging $160 for Mopar, but I can get one from Napa on sale for $45. Any reason not to use the Napa part?

Thanks!

I replaced mine with one from O'Reilly auto parts. Roughly a 100K miles on it, and at 200K and many years on the Jeep, it's doing just fine.

Do be aware that all of the procedures I found online said to drain the radiator first. If you don't need to replace the coolant (I didn't since I'd just done it at 95K miles a few months earlier), then put a tarp and a drain pan under the water pump. Loosen the screws for it (don't remove entirely just yet), then gently pry it out, letting the coolant drain. You'll get a pint or so. Replace the pump, top off the coolant, and press on.
