Default wet floor on drivers side

I was just cleaning my jeep and noticed that the floor on the drivers side was quite damp. I pulled the carpet back, and judging by how much moisture was under it, it isn't just from my feet. I haven't been through any water in this thing yet either. It smelled pretty musty, but not like coolant or anything... any ideas? just a bad weld somewhere on the floor? I'm drying it out right now, and with the summer coming I don't really care, but i'll probably forget by next winter if I dont do something about it now.

Ever notice water on your door handles or dash? Often a leak appears in the top directly above the door handles. Most of us have had a leak in the roof somewhere, which ultimately ends up dumping water in the front floor. Do a search and you will find many threads about it.

Default I've just noticed the same thing recently...

I gave the Jeep a nice detailed bath a couple of weekends ago and noticed when I pulled out the floor matt on the driver's side that the carpet was soaked! (I doubt it was the washing - we'd had quite a bit of rain before that weekend.) Nowhere else in the Jeep is even a teeny bit damp. Took a couple of days to dry out and I waited for more rain to see if it happened again. Yup! Even though the top of the carpet is dry right now, the underside is still quite damp, so I'm a little concerned with mold.

I've never noticed a single leak before, I wonder if it's possible to have a leak hidden in the door or possibly in the dash?

oh yeah, duh ... that is probably what it is. Didn't occur to me for some reason even after reading about the leaks and experiencing them myself. I had a leak over the center of the dash a while ago, so thats probably what this is. thanks!

Hmm... now you have me second guessing the roof leak. I know my old Dodge Neon leaked like a mofo in the back seat floor area Maybe Chrysler just likes to leave holes throughout the floor boards in their vehicles.

I had this happen once. I pulled the top off and then put it back on and it did not leak again.

i have been having the same problem for 8 weeks now. been in to the dealer 7 times. after the last time i was there, the "leak specialist" recomended a new soft top. i get it put on on wed. the only problem is, it is not the top that is leaking. i new that. i was trying to get a new top because when i bought my jeep (08 x with 21 miles on it) the top had a few very small cuts in it. i didnt notice them till the day after i bought my jeep, when i took it back the next day to show them the owner of the dealership looked at me and said "its a jeep thing" and they would not replace it. it took every bit of energy i had to not punch the guy in the face. anyway, i was waiting till they offered to replace my top before i tell them where it is leaking from. when it is raining without opening your driver door, get in the back or the passanger side with a flashlight and shine it around the bottom of the driver side door (where the rubber seal is on the door) i noticed a small stream of water coming in from there. after i get my new top i am going to take it in and show them that. so at least i got a new top. a buddy of mine had the same problem and hes the one that told me to check there. he got a new rubber seal for around the door and it fixed it. hope this helps someone.

Or if you have the hard top and sometimes even the soft top will let water run right down like a water fall just a little behind the header where it meets the window ................ they say it is a Jeep thing I say it is a terrible design but I still love it

And the hood issues ? and I thought it was me
