I know. I hate that computer, and my stepson has limited access at home. The only time I like it is in the car, due to the wonderful silence it provides by giving him a headset too.....

Too bad the converter only works when the vehicle is on. I have to remember every time I get out for a quick stop to push it or my phone won't be charging. Guess it keeps me from killing my battery...

The inverter does eat up battery life, hence the need for a switch.
I was camped at the end of a long trail this past summer and was charging my computer and listening to the radio. At some point I thought; "hmmm, better check the battery". You guessed it, JK wouldn't start. Fortunately, shutting everything down and just waiting an hour gave me enough recovery to start the motor.
My next purchase was a volt meter that plugs into the "cigarette lighter" (or whatever they call it nowadays) so I can monitor the remaining charge, and will upgrade the battery this next season.

As for other uses for the inverter, I always take a string of LED Christmas tree lights with me when I camp; it adds quite a nice touch to the campsite.

That's cool. The Xmas lights are a good idea. Just one more reason I love my jk!

I agree with you completely Ron....some of us older dudes have fond memories of the way it used to be. No such thing as electronic toys or devices. You made your fun with whatever you had available. I still have to ask my grandson how to do certain things on my computer. He's 9.

Awesome story Ronjenx. I remember looking out the back window of the country squire making silly faces at the car behind us.
