What to do if your JK is NOT included in fuel overflow TSB
If you have the fuel overflow issue on you JK, no matter what year it is, but especially the 2007 and 2008 and your build dates do not fall within the TSB
Service Bulletin # 14-001-11, dated February 11, 2011
built between March 1, 2007 March 31, 2008
You need to file with The Office of Defects Investigation (ODI) which is under NHTSA, even if you filed 2 years ago, you need to file again. It only takes a few minutes and have your VIN# available. Nothing will be done for those of us that fall outside of that build date if we don't file. I recommend also stating when you file, that your Jeep was not included in the TSB and list your build date.
https://www-odi.nhtsa.dot.gov/ivoq/index.cfm
The build date can be found
On the driver's door frame, white sticker with the bar code.
Top left corner has the date of manufacture.
Bottom right corner has MDH, which is month, day, hour.
or by calling your dealer with your VIN#
I don't have it yet, but should have the Chrysler contact info soon. If someone else has it, please post it up

just got my email from Chrysler about my build date, here is what I got:
Dear Daniel:
Thank you for contacting the Chrysler Customer Assistance Center.
According to our TSB Records, the referenced TSB #14-001-011, this
Extended Warranty Bulletin applies to 2007-2008 Jeep Wrangler vehicles
equipped with a 3.8L engine built between March 1, 2007 and March 31,
2008.
According to our records, your vehicle was built February 06, 2007.
If you are experiencing any problems with an issue you feel deserves
attention, we certainly recommend that you contact your local dealer to
arrange an appointment so that they can inspect the vehicle and
determine an appropriate course of action. Their service personnel have
the factory training, equipment and information available to diagnose
and correct concerns with our vehicles.
Furthermore, your dealer is fully empowered by Chrysler Group to
determine the merits of any goodwill policy consideration for repairs
beyond the coverage of your manufacturer's warranty.
Thank you for your email inquiry.
Sincerely,
so . . . it sounds like the dealership can still make the end decision about this, and seeing I was talking to the service manager last month about the overflow problem I was having, well, who knows.

NHTSA closed the case on this issue when Jeep released the TSB. So if you are not covered by it, PLEASE go back to the website and register again!
Add to your description that the relased TSB Warranty Extension did not cover your vehicle.

finnd, hope that works out for you.
My dealer is putting it entirely onto Chrysler and not doing anything and told me they would not change the tank unless a recall or a TSB with the correct build date was listed.

we will see, I go in for my 60k maintenance in another week or so.
I have found a workaround for the fuel spill issue for you to use in the meantime. I am under the TSB and have the fuel spill defect, but my method works well enough for me to not bother going it yet.
1. Guesstimate how many gallons you need. (EX: 12)
2. Pump the amount you need minus 2 gallons (EX: 10)
3. Pull out the gas nozzle for 10 seconds to vent the gas.
4. Pump one more gallon at medium speed.
5. Repeat step 3.
6. Slowly pump the final gallon or so.
Iv found this has worked every time I fill up since I bought my Jeep a year ago.
