Default what fluid for 6 speed manual tranny and transfer case

looking to change the transmission and transfer case fluids in my 6 speed jk and was wondering the type of oil i should use and see what others are using...

Used Redline MTL full synthetic...compatible with MS-9224 and no more notchy feeling...smooth as silk!

My next transmission change will probably be with redline.


I recently used Penzoil Synchromesh. It made a big improvement in how my 6sp shifts.

Does any manual tray fluid work? The write up says mopar... I am thinking synthetic Amsiol manual tranny fluid

Only place I could find Amsoil was online. I ended up going with the pennzoil brand synchromesh. Works great, and only takes about a half hour

Needs to be fully synthetic. Amsoil and Penzoil fit the bill as does Royal Purple (what I'm currently using).

t-case fluid is atf-4. same as auto tranny fluid, forgot that one earlier. now that I think about it I can't even recall where my fancy bottle pump went
