2008 auto 3.73 regardless of whether it has tow package or not unless its a rubi then of course 4.10

thats why i like my 2007 Sahara Unlimited. It has auto and Towing Pkg. 4:10 gears.

 

Yea sorry, little bit of some typing issues but i ment from my understanding is 2008 sahara automatic has 3.73 and 6speed has 3.21. I have 2008 sahara auto with tow package so just confirming that i currently have 3.73. Sounds like there are many different configuration by year/transmission/model/options but not really worried about else just trying to confirm what i have.

Would this be true for the 2007 as well ? I've been trying a few searches on here to try and figure out what axle ratio my 2007 Sahara Unlimited Automatic might have [bought it used and it didn't have the original window sticker :( ]. Mine doesn't have the tow package.

 

Yes, that's correct.
2007 non Rubicon model automatics had 3.73s or were available with 4.10s.

I'd go to your dealership with your Vin # in hand and ask for them to print you out a build sheet. Service or parts can do it for you free of charge.

 

Ok I will try to simplify this:

2007 Models:
X, Sahara, 6-speed 3.21
X, Sahara, Auto 4.10
Rubi (all) 4.10
Optional tow package for X, Sahara 4.10
$50 option for X, Sahara 6-speed 4.10

2008 and 2009 Models:
X, Sahara, 6-speed 3.21
X, Sahara, Auto 3.73
Rubi (all) 4.10
Optional tow package for X, Sahara 3.73
$?? option for X, Sahara 6-speed 3.73

That is all. There were no 3.73 gears on 2007 models, only 4.10 and 3.21.

 

If you have an automatic 2007 you have 4.10 gears.
