The computer was replaced last oil change. It is now time for its next oil change and the PS pump is leaking. We will see what happens.

So it wasn't the power steering that was leaking it was the intake manifold gasket again. Covered under dealer warranty since was replaced less than two years ago. At 160K miles now.

86K 2008 JK not many problems, radiator, 2X water pump, thermostat, thermostat housing, battery, RR brake caliper, ABS module....everything else was preventative and upgrades. Overall very pleased with mechanical aspects. Burns maybe about 3/4 - 1 quart per 1000 miles.

My JK is eight years old: I replaced the battery, the fan belt, the PCV, and a full set of tires (5) once. That's it.

Up to this point my bought new '09 JKUR had a brake line recall, a no start issue with the wireless control module that was corrected under warranty, the clock spring failed and was reimbursed and replaced again under recall, passenger airbag was replaced under warranty, driver side exhaust manifold cracked. I replaced it myself but it would have been covered under lifetime powertrain warranty. I just replaced the timing chain and gears, which were completely shot @ 74,500 miles despite 3000 mile oil & filter changes. It has needed a lower intake manifold gasket for years that I'll do soon. While doing the timing set I had the power steering pump off and discovered that the frontmost bolt on the passenger side exhaust manifold has at some point broken and fallen off, which will require removing the manifold and if lucky, drilling out the bolt stub stuck in the head and removing with an easy out. If unlucky, the head will have to be removed and the stub removed on a bench. Bottom line, Jeep Quality is an oxymoron!

Back in the shop again. I think I'm at 173K miles.
New gas tank (warranty)
PCV valve and hose replacement ( i had to pay for)
The PCV valve was stuck in the valve cover so they replaced the valve cover under warranty
Both tie rod ends, and alignment (warranty)
Wiring for the rear locker( warranty)
