What the heck is that RATTLE?
 

I have the 2008 Sahara 4 door which I bought in October. The first month I owned it I decided to take it for a 'mild' trail ride. Well ever since there is SOMETHING that rattles but I can't figure out WHAT! It is coming from the front driver side corner - near the dash - near the speaker - somewhere around there. I can't find it and it drives me NUTS!

Of course I can take to the dealership to have them repair - but we know it won't rattle once I get it there!

Any thoughts? I was excited when I ran across a rattle thread but it was a seatbelt issue. This is not the seatbelt. (Wish it was since you guys found a fix for that!) :thinking:

No I have not attemped anything other that as I drive try and push at things that I think it may be. At first I thought it was that little speaker on the dash. It is more of a CREAKING I suppose than a rattle.

......and I have had ZERO problems with my Jeep. I LOVE IT! But............ this one little CREAK drives me flippin' bonkers. I can take the chance with the dealer and hope it creaks but I have a feeling either it won't or they will fix it and create a new problem. LOL - Story of my life! :naw:

Does it sound like it is coming from the top section between the driver's door and the windshield? Possibly sometimes traveling down the driver's roll bar?

Look under the carpet under the seats. I had a rattle for about a month and drove me insane. it was change that got under the carpet under the driver seat.

MY SON (11 year old) IS SAYING YES. LOL :crazyeyes:

Next time you hear the rattle, push against the plastic trim peice in the upper driver corner. This is only held in place by one of those shitty platic clip/screw things. Mine rattles all the time, i've been meaning to put some weather stripping behind it.
