What holds in my door lock cylinder?

I turned the key in the lock of my passenger door in my 07 2-door yesterday and the entire lock cylinder came out. i can tell the door was dismantled by the previous owner, and the lock cylinder has always been a little loose. i suspect i'm missing a clamp or some type of o or c shaped ring that helps hold the cylinder in. does this sound familiar to anybody?

is it a full door or a half door?
(power windows, etc.?)

When the doors are assembled, the lock cylinder is the first item installed. That'll give you an idea what you're in for....

For half door assembly, google: K6860781

For full door, let me look around the forum, someone pulled one apart.... EDIT: can't find the thread I'm thinking of. But someone pulled open a full door either for power latch or window. Nice set of photos, wish I could find it.

BTW, if you need a door cylinder retainer clip, the part is 55295904

It's a full door, it sounds like I should plan on tackling this when I've got more than a few minutes. Thanks for the info.

Passenger side lock cylinder 2007

Got back from wheeling yesterday and the entire passenger side lock cylinder was gone.

I thought somebody tried to take my rig.

Then I got to looking in here and found some others that had a similar issue.

Now I don't feel so violated.

F taking the door apart, grab some Gorilla Glue, coat the part that fell off the door, cram it back in the hole and hold it for a couple minutes, it will never fall off again.
