Are they there for a specific reason? To hold something specific? Or are they "just there" for anything?

Seems a bit strange to put them there if they arent for holding something specific.

Default shelves in center console
I think he's talking about the little shelves in the center console/ under the armrest in between the front seats. I'm curious what they are for also... I have my garage door opener sitting on one...

I used mine for my garage door opener until I did the A pillar mod. Now they hold gum and tic tacs.

Small pistol like my S&W bodyguard 380. Wallet while at the beach? I think the area between the emergency brake & the cup holders was personally made for a larger pistol. My 45 fits great there.
