Default Whats the best OBD2 Scanner

I'm thinking to purchase an OBD2 reader. Like Models EQUUS1003 and EQUUS1303 Does anyone have one of these?
Any recommendations? Experience? Would others be better? What should I be looking for in buying one? All opinions welcome. Thanks in advance.

What are you looking to do? Personal or professional use?

If you are looking for the OBD2 reader just to pull codes, you already have a tool to do that, your key.

Go to your JK and put the key in the ignition, leave it in the off position. Cycle it from off to on to off to on to off to on (3 on cycles and on is the run position, do not crank the engine) and then leave it in the on position, any codes should be displayed on the dash.

I have a 2008 Rubicon with manual trans. I just did that again exactly as you and others have said and all the dash lights come on, then they gradually go out, (except BAS , ESP skid logo) and then the engine light flashes 10 times. Then the mileage led comes on. Nothing else. I wasn't pressing the clutch in?

If you don't have any codes then your mileage will simply display ------

I'll try to grab a couple of photos on my way home in 4-5 hours

I have an Autotap usb reader which allows you to get a bunch of readings on your laptop in realtime. I used it for my previous vehicle which was a chrylser 300m, worked fairly well. Haven't tried it on the jeep yet, hopefully the connectors are the same.

Okay, I was in a hurry last night and completely forgot. I remembered as I was pulling into work this morning.

I parked the JK and shut it off, removing the key from the ignition. I then opened and closed the door to kill the electronics. I then pulled on the park brake and kept my feet off of any of the pedals. I put the key in and cycled it 3-5 times and my mileage changed to ------- to indicate that there were no codes to pull.
