Whats the diffrenice in an x and sahara
 

Ok, I have an X. I want to know what the diffrences in the Sahara are. I am thinking of makeing a clone out of my X as Sahara does not come in flame red.

the things I know.
Seat fabric
painted flares
all have infinty sound system
Diffrent wheels

Is this it or is there more? On older Sahara's the package ment some extra goodies like upgraded electronics, better diffrentail gearing, and along with the color scheme. I know you could get close to it with the highest sport but there was just some tings that came on a Sahara that you could not get in the sport.

Don't forget the silver on the gauge cluster and on the bumpers!

Got the Cluster covered! painted it 2nd month of having it :D. Painted my bumpers but had bad paint :thinking: now I am gonna order the caps to cover the mess up as you can see where i removed the paint. As far as the seats are concerned I am gonna try and get a set of leather katskin covers.:)

Don't Sahara's all come with the power convenience group?

Um not all did. A few left the factory with half doors. Unsure where they went. They even have a pic of one in the book like this, But dont mean that they are still this way.:thinking:

X vs. Sahara
 

I bought a used X last month, 13,000 miles, that is equiped like a Sahara, fogs/tow hooks, alloy wheels, power windows/locks group, upgraded seats, 6CD/Sirris w/Subwoofer, trailer tow group, 4.10 rear end...not the typical X that dealers inventory. Paid $17,600 plus tax....my 97 is now looking for a new home!!

Some X's come with this too. It's not specific to the Sahara.

So there really cloneing it will be easy. not saing I wont have money in it.

What I have left to do.....
Seats front & rear
Flares painted Up. Next on to do list An add the Sahara Decal
Bumper Caps even though 07 sahara in my area did not have them.
Upgrade dash harness to infinty w/ amp. Not that important. going w/ aftermarket head unit.

I haven't ever seen an X with the silver gauge cluster. Did they add it in 08 to the 23S package?
