Default Where should I hammer?

I am replacing the u-joint in the front axle and I can’t even get to it. I need to separate the hub and bearing assembly from the steering knuckle. Cleveland winters on my 07 have taken a toll. It’s rust welded pretty good.
Where can I apply maximum force from the BFH without doing more damage than I already have?
Information from here & Stu Offroad was helpful and I’ve seen some videos of it sliding right out. But in my world not so much…
3 bolts and I’m free right? (13mm 12point). Well, once you get the caliper & rotor off anyway.

Never mind. I just had to man up and go for it. It only took a couple taps from a 10lb sledge.
Hope I didn't break anything...

I just did the ball joints on my F-250. I sprayed penetrating oil and let things soak. I made a big difference in the size of hammer needed.
