Default where is the sirius satellite radio antenna

hey, i'm wondering where the sirius satellite radio antenna is located at. i know from my many XM radios that the antenna needs to have an uninterrupted view for reception. the manual shows the antenna above the sound bar on the passengers side, witch is covered by the hard top. dose sirius not need a clear view? also is the antenna compatable with XM somehow?

I don't know the Jeep specific, but I know that many car manufacturers put it on top of the windshield frame.

I was racking my brain trying to figure out where it was. I then came inside and did a search. Its sits on the rollbar under the hard top. Thats how I did mine and I have had no problems at all.

I palced mine on the cross bar where the speakers are. Right in the middle, the satellite reciever stays inside the jeep but it works fine, i have a soft top and the signal comes in just fine.

It is on the passenger side rollbar, behind the rear seat, under the padding.
It is not a optimum location, since the right side of the vehicle is more often covered by trees, etc... I get cut outs when I go down small roads with a tree canopy.

***a humorous comment.... when i asked my salesman this question a year ago, he told me that the two bumps on the hood (the windshield stops) are the antenna. I could not stop laughing at him. You can't make this stuff up.
