Default Whining Noise Coming from Engine Bay

First off I have an Auto '08 2Dr. I noticed the other day a whining coming from the engine bay while ididling in a friends driveway. Today I took a little mild wheeling trip to our local spillway and now I notice the noise more prevelant. The noise actually sounds like a dove (the bird) when it make its noise. The noise is not steady and constant, but when I rev the engine it becomes louder and more noticeable. When i lay off the throttle it seems to lower and diminish. I asked my Dad to take a listen and look at the belt. He said the belt is in good condition and it may be a bearing on something going out. Any ideas or suggestions besides running to the dealership, which I plan to do. Not sure how to post a sound byte on here. Thanks for any help

Check to make sure someone did not open your hood and installed a supercharger. If they did I am missing mine

Joking try a new belt.

Where is exactly is the idler pulley located, and is it a belt around it or bearing? Thanks

A mechanic's stethoscope is your friend when trying to track down strange noises.
