Hello.
Was wondering if anyone else has experienced this whiny noise coming from somewhere.
Well here it is: Everytime I take my doors off the Jeep, and after driving for a while I can hear a whiny noise coming from somewhere. However it only happens when the gas pedal is pushed down, when the Jeep accelerates. Then the noise gets softer and softer when I let go of the gas pedal as the jeep decelerates. I have also tried putting it in neutral and pressing the gas pedal and the whiny noise does not happen. It only is heard when its in the D (position). And one last thing: I cannot hear the noise when the doors are on lol. I am pretty sure it is somewhere on the passanger side but I have yet to pinpoint its origin.

Is your wife in the jeep at the time?

 

 

Sounds like an intake... I just put a custom snorkel/CAI on my JKU and can hear a whistling noise coming from intake whenever I accelerate... Have someone step on the gas while you listen under tour hood...
