Default Why is the Mopar soft top boot so expensive?

Mopar Boot: $229. http://www.quadratec.com/products/91109_601_07.htm

Rugged Ridge: $79. http://www.quadratec.com/products/91108_0435.htm

Smittybilt: $49. http://www.quadratec.com/products/91108_4102_07.htm

Rampage: $49. http://www.quadratec.com/products/91108_13X_PG.htm

What's going on here? Mopar's stuff is usually a little more than aftermarket, but their boot is almost 3x more than the RR, and 4.5x more than the Smitty.

I wondered the same thing, have you seen one that is for a two door? I've only seen four door ones...

I've got the Smittybilt for my 2 door. While the fit is a bit tighter than I like and it took a little bit of trimming to get it to slide into the rear rail, I can't see paying 4.5 times more for the Mopar.

Simply because its "Mopar". I mean, I don't know the exact material or fabric, but it can't be all that different, right? Kinda ridiculous if you ask me...

I could use a boot though, I got my soft top replaced cause of the recall and the couple times I had it down, it seems to be getting a little dirty already....grrrrr

I need one of these things - my top is down about 1/4 of the time, and it has pollen all over it.

I think that the wrangler in soft top configuration should come WITH the boot & the roll-up window bag. I don't know what I'd do if I didn't have the roll up bag for the soft top windows.

If you look at the different boots listed you will see that all but the Mopar boot looks like pieces of shit. You get what you pay for.
I got my Mopar boot on EBay for $145.00 shipped.

Default Window pocket/roll

Do the other brands have a place to store the windows? If not, by the time you add the cloverpatch window roll the prices are about the same. I'm really interested in getting a boot, just trying to decide which one is best!
