Widest tires for stock 17 JK wheels?

So I'm wondering how wide can I go on my stock 17 JK wheels. I saw one with open country 295/70/17 on them. Looked pretty solid but if I could go wider at that height I would. What size is too big for that wheel? ( yes I'm willing to throw some spacers on )

You could go up to a 12.50 width as long as you use spacers. Stock wheels are 7.5" wide
